During the past elections of the new executive bureau of the VKII that took place early this year in Kaiserslautern, many objectives were set for the agenda 2008. Among these is your involvement in the management of the association. The VKII is galvanized by the desire to transform its address into the first meeting point of all nationals of Cameroon and people of Cameroon origin living in Germany and interested directly or indirectly in engineering and computer sciences. In view of the increasing number of Cameroonian engineers and computer scientists living in Germany, Europe and Northern America, the wish to solidify milestones for the development of the their motherland continuously gains momentum. The achievement of their various goals requires a good understanding of cultural, economic and factors both in host country Germany and in Cameroon. The theme of the 2008 edition of their annual Symposium is mostly based on Integration. The integration as whole is an ongoing process given to foreign rather Cameroonian experts in Germany to improve their skills in various fields of activity in the society. Among those are cultural, and economic aspects which shouldn’t be under minded by the Diaspora but so far be seized as a challenge to build bridges between the north and the south. The aim of the initiators of this edition of the VKII Symposium is to permit Cameroonian professionals as well as students to contribute and gain out of various interventions and debates. By doing so, the process of overcoming the bounds of integration up to the mastery of Best Practices should be well established for the benefit of the citizen of both societies. |
